Creating a DVD with subtitles using WinAvi and VobSub ?

Dec 30, 2004 12:34AM PST

Hi,

Can anyone tell me how to burn a DVD player compatible DVD, with subtitles(.srt), using WinAvi and VobSub ?

I have joined two .avi files and have the .srt files

I know how to convert the .avi file using WinAvi but just don't know how to burn it, along with the subtitles, to a DVD Player compatible format.

Thanks,
Mario

1. Ulead's items such as DVD MovieFactory, and their video editing.
2. DVDSanta (look on google.com)

Hi Bob,

Are both these programs comparable (speed wise) to WinAvi?

By what codec you chose and more.

Is this a trick question?

Just make sure that the *.srt file has exactly the same name as the *.avi and put them in the same directory. You should have a directshowfilter installed like ffdshow or directvobsub. You can check if it works bij playing the file in mediaplayer. If it works here than it wil be converted correctly bij winavi! Hope this helps
