It's called the Microsoft Media Creation Kit and yes, it's only for PCs. Have a friend create a W10 install stick for you with this.
A few weeks ago I was messing with some settings I shouldn't have in the Windows 10 Disk Management window, and accidentally deleted the Boot Manager off my primary hard drive. Since then, the PC will not boot anymore. I've disconnected the other 2 hard drives to try and isolate the issue, and prevent the computer from trying to boot into one of those.
The main hard drive is now completely wiped. Because I don't have the original installation disk or a CD drive, I tried installing another Windows ISO file on an 8GB flash drive, and have the computer boot into that to attempt reinstalling Windows on the hard drive.. The BIOS recognizes the flash drive as a hard drive (like I want it to), but will not boot into it. Using a Mac (the only other computer around the house), I've tried formatting it between FAT and Ex-FAT, adding a partition formatted as a Master Boot Record, using different terminal commands, changing boot orders and settings in the BIOS, and using 3rd-party software to try and make the USB recognizable as a disk image.
At this point, I can't think of anything else to do to fix this issue. I'm pretty desperate to get my computer in working condition again.
Did I miss something or does anyone have cool tricks to figure this out?
