Create Hyperlink

Mar 12, 2006 4:50AM PST

I see hyperlinks in these forums where people will use something like the word HERE, it will be blue in color and take you to a web site. I would like to know how this is done. All I know to do is copy the web address of a site and paste it in the post, but this gives you the entire address not just the word HERE. I have AOL and they talk about using the Heart and dragging it, but this will not work here just on AOL forums. I did a search on the internet and I see talk of a insert hperlink but I can not find this command. Thanks slybo

Cnet uses BBS coding...
Mar 12, 2006 5:05AM PST

Most forums use standard HTML coding for formatting (bold, italics, underlining) and linking, but for security reasons the Cnet forums use BBS coding. For instructions on using BBS coding in these forums, click here.

Hope this helps,
John

Hyperlink would look more realistic if

you include the leading and ending underline BBS code so the word is also underlined.
