Question

Create DVD Of Pictures on iMac For Windows XP

Aug 10, 2015 8:35AM PDT

I burned a DVD of photos (jpg files) on an iMac (10.9.5). Supposedly, the DVD is able to be read by Windows. However, my Windows XP indicates the format is not readable. Any one have any thoughts?

I just inserted a blank DVD into the iMac burner, selected the photos I wanted and dragged them to the DVD icon then did a burn. It creates the DVD ok and I can see the pictures on the DVD on the iMac but Windows cannot. I have heard the problem is because I am running Windows XP.

This from a Google of "What format does OS X burn CD/DVD's in"

You can burn files to a CD or DVD and then use that disc as a backup, send it to friends, or copy the files on it to another computer. Discs you burn on your Mac computer can also be used on Windows computers and other types of computers.
