create a system image

hi guys,
trying to create a system image using external harddrive from my laptop, after some time get a error message( the system cannot find the file specified(0x80070002)
can you guys help me fix this problem????

Just yesterday I did this.

I used my Apricom set for that.
You might want to look at software like http://www.todo-backup.com/ (there's a free version.)

You didn't tell what backup software you were trying but the Microsoft supplied one fails so often no one I know will use it.

I've been using the free Easeus backup program for several years & I can recommend it. There are many others out there, but as Bob says, the one that comes with Windows is fraught with peril.
