Question

Create a Folder with an Independent Layout

by gngross / May 30, 2013 9:05 AM PDT

I want to create a Folder on the Desktop with Layout options that won't spill over onto all existing folders. For example, I want to remove the Panes so that I essentially have a box in which to display other folders/files, as we could under XP. When I create one and remove the Navigation Pane, the next time I open another unrelated folder in another place, the Navigation Pane is gone there also.

MRUBAG Issue
by gngross / May 31, 2013 4:19 AM PDT

Thanks for the reply, but, my problem has nothing to do with 'remembering' settings. It has to do with propagating those settings to all other Folders within the Explorer realm, which is what I don't want to happen.

That issue is well discussed.

My reply is what is not discussed as often. Be sure to use the usual research tools and good luck!
