Create a cd of favorites from my cd collection

Jan 10, 2005 11:25AM PST

I wanted to create a cd of my favorite songs from my currently owned cd collection. I copied the songs onto my computer using Windows Media Player. But when I tried to create a cd the message said the wma file could not be converted into the wav file needed to create the cd. I run Windows 98.
Is there a way to create the cd I want from my own cd's?

smballew, Which Burning Software Are You Using?

Roxio's Easy CD Creator will convert ".wma" files to the correct file format so they can be burned to a normal audio CD. Most music CD's designed for standard CD players is formatted to a .cda file and Easy CD Creator will convert mp3, wav, or wma files. I believe Nero will do the same but it requires a WMP plug in.

Normally, .wav files aren't placed onto a CD. When burning the CD, make sure that you specify an "audio CD".

Hope this helps.
