Create a bootable restore disk for Vista

Mar 8, 2007 8:32AM PST

I just bought a Acer 9410-2597 notebook w/ vista home premium. Is there a way to make a bootable restore cd complete with the drivers? I basically dont care if i lose data. I just want to be able to have a disc that i can boot to that will restore my OS and its correct drivers. Is this possible? If so how do i do this? On a side note my D: partion is called acer data. Just wanted to add that as this may help someone solve this. Thank you

Creating bootable Vista disk..

A bootable or Recovery disc should have come with the Acer, or instructions given on how to create one from a hidden partition, if available. That should be in the owner's menu (printed or 'on-line'). Try the folder C:\Book. The "Acer Data" you mentioned is just a "Volume Lable", or volume name, for D:\, as the HD is partitioned into C:\ for the installation of the OS, and D:\ (Acer Data, for your files.
