Crash

Mar 6, 2004 5:14AM PST

I am getting an intermediate system crash. I get the following error message. PFN_LIST_CORRUPT STOP:0X0000004E(0X00000099,0X00011FAF,0X0000000) I did a search on my machine for PFN and nothing came up. What is PFN? I tried system restore and still same thing. I tried checking Microsoft and found no information. I am running Windows XP Home.

Thanks. This is interesting. When I was on the Microsoft site this would not come up. It seems like it has to do with RAM and there was one case where a BIOS update corrected it. Why couldn't Windows XP say so? WHY? WHY? and WHY? The help in Windows XP is useless. I have tried the easiest way first. I jacked up the voltage on the ram from the auto setting to 2.55 volts and it improved. Now I have it set at 2.65 volts and it is running good so far. I will keep you posted.
