Cracked 51" Samsung Plasma - Samsung Blames Consumer

by jmcquillen007 / May 30, 2012 2:38 AM PDT

Hello to everyone who has had the same issue that I am having with my Samsung 51"plasma TV.
I was watching the TV and I too heard a strange noise and the picture all of a sudden went black, but still had sound.
Discovered a crack in the underlying screen that was not there before this happened. Called Samsung/ sent tech out/ Samsung calls back and says that we caused the damage somehow and they dont cover the damage.

Now, we purchased the TV and set it on its included stand on a TV table and have not touched it since we bought it 10 months ago other than cleaning the screen one time with the little blue cloth about 2 months ago...It has not been moved, we dont have kids or pets, and dont do anything but watch movies and TV. It worked great up until that day...

This "crack" all of a sudden appears out of the blue??
I figured it was under warranty -- no problem...until I get the call today saying the same ol' line thats repeated alot on this and other forums.

After politely disagreeing with the customer rep, she offered to pay for parts but no labor...Problem being the labor is $225.00..I AM STILL PAYING FOR THE TV!!

I am FUMING...we did not do ANYTHING to this TV to cause this, but yet in essence we are getting blamed for causing the damage and have to pay $225.00 to fix it??
This is BS --Like other posters, I am wholeheartedly dissapointed with Samsungs' response and will never purchase their product again after this fiasco.

I am asking the SAMSUNG_HD person to please help!!
I dont want to have to do all the other crap other people are promising to do like goto the AG of my State...I just want my TV fixed...Like others have said, if I had done the damage, I would "man up" and not blame anyone else...this happened for no fault of our own...
Model # is PN51D450A2D

Thanks for your help or at least in trying to help!!

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
