I came across with this software and I found it interesting. According to the description of this software, it can lower the temperature of CPU by 10

Today's OSes such as Linux and XP already implement this.

So, do you mean that CpuIdle will not do anything to cool down CPU with Windows XP? Then, why does CpuIdle have Windows XP version, if it is not necessary for XP?

XP already implements the HLT or halt instruction in...

The instruction that causes the CPU to draw less power is already in the XP idle loop.
