CPU & Memory Upgrade For Samsung DP500A2D-A01UK

by Grendyl / December 2, 2015 3:10 AM PST

Does anyone know the Max CPU & Memory upgrade options for the above system .. I've looked about but can only find various upgrade options for memory - ranging from total 8GB to 16GB.

Cheers in advance.

No maker seems to support CPU changes and I defer to folk that will discuss it. I find it rarely helps if the person was looking to improve, say gaming.

-> I'd try something else if it's just speed you need (gaming? Tell more!) I'd shop for a new SSD to replace the slower HDDs. Just last week I picked up 512GB SSDs for 119.99USD and they will give some old machine a boost.

Thank you for the reply.

No the upgrade is not for gaming, the system is being used in an office situation, will certainly look at changing the HD.

For office you'll get a big boost from the SSD.

In fact I'd change to SSD first now that I know the application.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
