CPU Internal Cache causing crashes

I am having a problem, i am trying to install XP but whenever i have my internal CPU cache enabled i run into a stop error's and crashes, After turning the internal CPU cache off XP installed after about 3-4 hours only to be incredibly sluggish to the point of being unusable. So once XP was installed i tried turning on the internal cache and it would run great for about 2-3min before randomly restarting. Any help please?

Such as bad ram, incorrect/old/bad power supply, motherboard capacitors or "other."

It's not a Windows bug.
