Cpu fan speed

Hi again, I just recieved my new mobo in today. Installed it and every thing is working great except my CPU fan is running at 4400 rpms. The temp of the pcu it around 100-110 F. Any ideas on how to slow this fan down. Tried speed fan but it didnt work.

Clarification Request
Tell about the fan and where it's connected.

The CPU fan would need a 3 pin connector and should be attached to a very specific plug on the MB. There may also be BIOS setting to govern thresholds at which speed changes. Have you already verified the connection to be correct and checked BIOS for such settings?

I found the solution already

My new mobo which is the same thing as my old mobo are almost the samething except the connector for the cpu fan. My old mobo had a 3 pin connecter where I just noticed my new one has a 4 pin connector and the 4th pin is the fan speed controller. Didnt notice that till i reopened my case back up and looked.
