Question

Could somone help me with Windows 10 anniversary update?

by Joshualenz / December 8, 2016 5:20 PM PST

Hello,
sorry if this is not the correct area, but iv been having this issue with my laptop. Eveytime I try to install the Windows 10 anniversary update, it downloads then it requires my PC to restart to install the updates.

After the computer restarts and installes the PC just sits on a black screen with the windows 10 loading symbol for hours and hours and never boots back up. Only way I have got back on to my computer is by hard resetting it enough times to were it says "restoring to a previous Windows" then the PC starts up normal without the new update installed.

I previously did a factory restore to see if that would help but it's doing the same thing.

My laptop is the hp dv7-6c95dx

The owner had some overreaching antivirus suite. Other than that, one time it was the USB printer/mouse of all things. My wife has a dv7 (not sure of exact model) and it's all good.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
