This one,

What's likely a problem is that you have no less than 4 posts about this issue.

Making new posts may not elicit an answer, but more information which you add
to the post you wish to expand on may help others see what the issue is.

On your part, gory details about the machine, what software you loaded and whether
it's clear of all pests noted by HouseCall, Spybot, Adaware and Cwshredder would help
in removing PARASITES as a cause.

Tell more,

Going from ME to XP, you would probably be better off and save time by reformatting and doing an XP full install rather than an upgrade. You can do that direct from the CD ROM on bootup.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
