Have an LG plasma I won in a raffle about 3 years ago. Something popped,we now have sound but no video. Could be $400-$500 to repair. Even though we paid nothing for the tv,I'm feeling I shouldn't spend that kind of money to repair. Any suggestions?

What is the screen size?
It may be cheaper to buy a new one, but it depense on the size..
...upgrade and likely get a better set w/ better PQ. Less than $1K ($799) gets you a decent little 42" plasma from Costco, for example. There are some other options, depending on your budget. Here's one I saw today looking for my parents-
