Question

Corded phone reduced ringing sound voume too much

Sep 16, 2016 5:08PM PDT

Would someone know how I can increase significantly my phone ringing function? Suddenly the ringing volume fell down to hardly audibly. Someone at Panasonic gave me a little formula (I forget now) but it increased ONLY the talking voice, NOT the ringing.... Sad

This is my phone:

Panasonic corded KX-TG4773B and 3 cordless handsets (Not using handsets till I get batteries)

Thanks ever so much for any help. Happy Adela

Thank you R. Proffitt, but this will make my phone much more expensive. Thanks again.

I can't tell if you tried the free way.

On each extension, push up the ringer volume. The model I linked is cheap at under 25 bucks. Maybe if you are on subsidies they will cover the expense.

I did that and both on the phone base and the handset extensions pushing up the ringer volume increases the volume of VOICE and not the ringer. It's SO frustrating that Panasonic (the very manufacturer) doesn't understand what I explain that it works only on the voice and not on the ringer.

One year ago when I bought the phone the ringer wasn't that good but quite passable. However, since a month or so ago it suddenly it went down significantly!

Could it have something to do with the Answering Voice Mail having stopped working at around the same time? Who knows.

Thanks so much for trying to help me! Happy

The EASY way is to push it up when the call is ringing your phone. My Panasonic is the KX-TG7875S and rather than dive into the menus, when it's ringing use the up volume. After you answer, then the up and down is for the voice.

Hey you could do this in the menus but I cheated.
