Sorry, I don't know how that system works. I also never use Windows Movie Maker due to issues that I can't use it's files with Virtual Dub.

My DVD Writer comes with Ulead MovieFactory which can make VCD as well as other videos.

If you just need better CD recording software try http://www.cdburnerxp.se/

Just type Virtual Dub into google.com. It's a tool I use for many things.

Do you have a blank CD-R in the drive

In reply to: copying Movie to a CD..................

when this happens? If so, then Windows is not seeing it as a good blank. Try cleaning the burner and/or CD. Try reinstalling the device.

I don't think Windows can handle the size of a DVD. If you use a DVD, you will need other burning software.
