Question

Copy/import Wordpress.com blog to Wordpress.org blog

Nov 25, 2015 11:42AM PST

I have a situation here with my wordpress.com account. I want to export the file containing all the posts, pages, text, etc and import them after, into my wordpress.org blog. The interfaces are so different as wordpress.com has changed their settings completely and I don't know where to turn to export from wordpress.com . Can anyone assist me, please?

https://en.support.wordpress.com/export/ is the first google hit for WORDPRESS.COM EXPORT.

About assistance it writes:
"Guided Transfers are a great option for people who find the migration process intimidating and would like expert help to assure an effortless transition. We charge a one-time fee of $129.00 for the Guided Transfer service."

The other hits on the first SERP (Search Engine Result Page) seem quite useful also.

Best of luck with your migration.

Wordpress.org is the home website to get wordpress scripts, themes, support and other mainly for those who are using the different hostings services for their scripts. as far as I know you cannot have a blog there. They direct you to wordpress.com if you want to setup a blog. Are you sure you don't have a second wordpress.org account?

are you sure you don't have a second wordpress.com account. And to add, No matter what the interface looked like, there should be an inport/export setting.
