copy time on a dvd

by lost_thoughts / January 24, 2009 6:53 AM PST

hi there, I have a cable pvr and am copying tv shows onto my dvd recorder. I can only manage to get 2 one hour shows onto a dvd. I find this strange as to how much a dvd should be able to hold. IS there a way to make this differant. Like on vhs, you can select EP or Sp. And I understand that I may have to use nero to get it to play onto my pc is this true. What I want to do is capture segments of the shows and make a collection. thanks for any info you can pass on to me.

Maybe the output quality of the pvr is for 2 hour format only.

Yep . . .

the format determines the file size.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
