Copy/Paste from Word document to web-based program

May 20, 2005 1:23PM PDT

I perform typing for a company via their web-based program. Everything is working well, except that I would like to copy text from my Word document and paste this info into their template, but the paste feature is not available (it is not highlighted). Another transcriptionist doing the same work is able to use the copy/paste feature just fine. She is using Windows XP - - I am using Windows Millenium, both are using Outlook Express 5. I have no idea where to even begin with this problem. Any suggestions? It would be great not to have to type all those reports twice!

Have you tried the usual Control-C and Control V commands?

It's what I use when no copy/paste buttons exist.

Bob,
I tried it and it worked. Something is strange though, as the 1st time using control V, nothing happened, but the 2nd time, the paste highlighted and the text pasted. This is just fine with me, though - - I really appreciate your reply.

Thanks,
Alison
