Anyone know where to obtain a copy of Windows Vista RC1. I would love to check out the new Windows, but have been unable to find a beta

The CPP program has been closed, so you can no longe register for or download pre-release versions of Windows Vista. At this point your only option is to wait and purchase Windows Vista when it becomes available in your area.

Sorry.

Be careful with these. It might depend on how the copy was obtained, but I had to agree to not resell my copy.

That is correct: it is forbidden...

The EULA for all pre-release versions forbids the transfer or sale of the software as well as the product key, regardless of whether or not you used it. Thus, any copies available on Ebay are forbidden and should be avoided.

really?

these are the exact words from the ebay auction, "I am including a liscensed copy (from microsoft) of Windows Vista RC1 Home Premium"

so this is a negative? its not really a big deal to me but kinda a bummer. Thanks!

It may be a licensed copy but the EULA prohibits the transfer of the software, license, and/or key. Looking over the results for "Windows Vista" on Ebay I am amazed at how many prohibited or otherwise fraudulent auctions I saw. Glad I'm not a moderator there. :

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
