Copy mp3 files from PC hard-drive to MP3 player

I'm looking for an inexpensive MP3 player onto which I can copy mp3 files directly from my PC hard-drive, rather than using a subscription service. Any ideas? I currently have a Sansa M200 series - it copies it, but then doesn't list it under 'Play All'.

That Sansa was in MSC mode and has their latest firmware?

Also another acquaintance had that issue so we tried it with some MP3s ripped from an original CD with "CDEX" using the stock settings. These played fine. I could not help them with their downloaded Mp3s since they were from Limewire. My guess is they were badly encoded.

Thanks for helping. Unfortunately, I don't know how to switch it to MSC mode and don't have access to a manual for my Sansa. (I lost the companion CD and Sandisk's website doesn't have one for my model - I guess it's too old.)

Able to do it!

I was able to discover how to switch to MSC mode. Without boring you with the details (unless you want them), I was then able to copy the desired MP3 files from my hard-drive to the player AND was able to find them on the player to actually play. Thanks again - you saved me time and money.

That's the best ending.
