Question

Copy and paste functions not working

Jun 3, 2019 3:56AM PDT

I reset my laptop (Acer Aspire E15 Laptop with windows 10) recently due to a shutdown issue. It was fixed the issue and now I got a new problem. Today I discovered that the copy and paste functions do not work. Can anybody tell me how to fix this issue?

That's a little bit vague, since there are more ways to do it.

Let's start simple. Type something in Notebook. Select it. From the menu: Edit>copy. Unselect it. From the menu: copy/paste. You should have it twice now. What happens? Then try ctrl-V. You should have it three times now. What happens?

Another simple test. Use the clipping tool to put an pic on the clipboard. Run Paint. Try Paste from the ribbon. What happens? If that works try ctrl-V. What happens?

actually, ctrl+C and ctrl+V are not working. And from RC--> dropdown menu --> copy --> Paste is also not working.
I did not try the thing from the ribbon. I'll let you know what happened after I check that.
Thank you very much for your answer.
