Copies of a printer will not delete

I had some issues setting up a Brother 5250Dn on a laptop with Vista Home. I have several copies of the printer in the Printer applet. One works fine, but, I can not delete the "copies". What to do? Thanks.

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=Vista%3A+Copies+of+a+printer+will+not+delete are the usuals so I won't duplicate the ideas on the top 10 hits then I would:

a. disable UAC and try again (what is UAC? see a search engine)
b. Consider if Norton is protecting the system and ask Symantec for an off switch.
