Coolwebsearch

On occasion, when I run BPS Spyware, it will find coolwebsearch. I delete it then I run CW Shredder which tells me that my computer is clean.
However, I then run regedit, type in "coolwebsearch" and then "find" and it will find several files in a row with cool search or coolwebsearch in the name. I delete each one. My question is, " If CWShredder says I am clean, why do I still find files in registry?

As for the regedit thing I see the same thing.

On this machine these entries seem to be what SS+D has added with the protection feature.

CWShredder does not seem to get upset about them being there.

Thanks. Also, I put his post in My Discussions, but I did not get an email about your reply. Do you know if that function is not working at this time?

That function works fine, I use it all the time but the notifications are not immediate. They will send you an e-mail for all of your discussions in one e-mail. I usually receive one about once every 2 or 3 hours. I'm pretty sure that is the way it it supposed to work.

Hope this helps. Grin

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
