Coolpad phones and Verizon?

Does anyone know if any of the coolpad phone that have cdma/gsm duel mode work here in cdma mode i.e. work for verizon? I travel a ton but mainly between US and canada but at least 8 times a year I in gsm only parts of the world. Verizon is the only company that has a north american plan that is affordable. Just wondering if anyone has tried it?

doubt it...

In reply to: Coolpad phones and Verizon?

I've never heard of coolpad, and since there not one verizon's website, i doubt they'd allow it on the network.
Blackberry does have their 8830 World Edition phone that has cdma and gsm though, although i'm sure it doesn't accept two sim cards
I'd have to say call verizon to see
And could you send me a link to coolpad's website? I'd like to know more about those and can't find their page.
Here's all the info i could find... (i know it's not much)

think your right

Unlike in the US, in china cdma phones use sim cards. Unless i can get some verizon cdma sim card which I am pretty sure doesn't exist. I think i am limited to the rim 8830 or the moto razr both of which are not the coolest phones on the block. http://www.yulong.com.cn/ has info on all the coolpad phones. If anyone know how to get a verizon cdma chip please share.
