That first picture ...
by Evie / April 21, 2006 7:32 AM PDT

... could have been taken in my back yard about a week ago. There was even a hint of a triple rainbow! I wasn't home at the time to grab the digi camera as we were getting takeout from down the road, but it was spectacular! Several years back we had the most "wonderful" storms during the summer. I say "wonderful" because the hubby and I enjoy watching lightning storms. There was horizontal lightning, simultaneous bolts, storms we could watch for an hour or more as they passed from one side of the house to the other. Sheet lightening so bright it looked like daytime for the time it illuminated the whole landscape. That was the year I saw my first full rainbow like the one in the pictures (had only seen vague partials before), so maybe it will be a season for storm watching this year!

Those do make "the heart leap"....
by Angeline Booher / April 21, 2006 7:47 AM PDT

I don't have a link, but on local TV they showed a photo of a "double rainbow" that appeared over tornado damaged area of TN last week.

Somehow it was heartening to see it.

Beautiful photos, hh. Thanks for sharing!

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
