Cooking games for DS

Has anyone seen these games for the DS on the shelf that claim to teach you how to cook? Has anyone bought one?

I want to know 1) If they actually teach you anything and 2) Who made the recipes? I mean, is this some random game programmer pulling recipes of the internet or do they use world renowned chefs to give you real insider tricks?

I used the brain age game a lot and that thing really did work. But the whole concept of playing a video game to get better at real life cooking is something I am not too sure about. Thanks for the advice!

Hey have you tried out Cooking Mama or the "Personal Trainer: Cooking" titles for the DS? They are both great and the latter features a DS Chef, your own private cooking instructor who talks you through 245+ recipes from more than 30 countries worldwide. Make your own recipes, or mix ingredients to make known ones---fun and learning all the way!!
