Frankly I use CCLEANER and set it to keep my Cnet forum cookies.

Guys I really need your HELP!!! A couple of years ago I installed a free online program to delete cookies from both browsers. Eventually a Geek did some routine maintenance on my laptop and to my horror deleted that marvelous program. I did not record its name or location. Can anyone help???

- An alternative: always browse in private mode. Cookies aren't saved then. But history isn't either, that's a disadvantage.
- Firefox has an option to save cookies 'until you close the program' then delete them automatically. No need for a third party program then.
- I think that ccleaner (free from piriform) can do the same (and much more), but I can't check since I don't have it installed. You can even keep certain cookies (like the cookie that saves your login information for this forum).
- Tip: always save the install/setup program for any program you install from a download. And be sure to include it in your regular backup. Then you can't lose it, whatever happens (such a tech deleting it or a hard disk crashing).
