Question

converting my qwerty keyboard to dvorak with a flash drive

Sep 21, 2013 5:02AM PDT

my keyboard has two usb ports and was wondering if i could convert it to simplified dvorak if put software on a flash drive and plug it into the usb ports on my keyboard.

i know i can change the keyboard layout on windows, I did it on my computer but i need to be able to take my keyboard with me to school without having to change settings on school computers. I also don't have any money to spend on a hardwired keyboard either.

Unless you carry your own OS on that stick and boot from that.

No, that's not possible. Your keyboard doesn't have an OS to read the flash drive.

Did you do your research on how PC keyboards work?
Scan codes and such?

Yes, we understood that.

But it's not relevant to your question. The answer still is "no".
