WordPerfect 12 should support a lot of file types (it has 165 import/export filters, they say), so maybe your version of MS Works is included on the input side.
If not, find the common ones, the filetype that MS Works can write (File>Save As ... will give you the list) and WP 12 can read (File>Open ... will give the list). A possible one might be rtf-format. Txt-format is always possible, I suppose, but you'll lose all the formatting then, and only keep the text.
Sorry, but I don't have MS Works, nor WP 12, so I only can give the general direction to go. If you can't find any feasible candidate, try installing MS Works on your new computer, that use copy and paste for the transfer. The result is a big surprise, but not necessarily negative.
Hope this helps,
Kees
I've just gotten my new computer that has WordPerfect12 and I need to add some files from my old windows 98 computer. The files were done on MS works, does anyone know how I can convert these files to WordPerfect? Thanks
