Converting AVI to MPEG

by whocares89 / March 18, 2007 11:08 PM PDT

Hey I have a video Ipod, and use it to watch movies on my TV. Most of the formats I have on my computer are AVI. I've used NERO's free trial, and it worked well enough, except they don't sell their recoding product seperate from everything else...and it's 70$. There are other products that convert for the ipod, but they reduce the quality so when you watch it on TV its impossible to watch. My friend has quicktime pro, but it seems to take about 8 hours for a standard length movie. ANYONE have a good program that doesn't destroy the quality, is reliable and doesn't cost an arm and a leg????

Thanks in advance!

Sorry I can't figure out what you are asking for here with that word.

I do use a collection of tools such as VLCPLayer, TMPGEnc and Virtual Dub but some what tutorials which I won't do here (already on the web) and some want a single software solution which I've never found. At least what I use is free and gets the job done.

Tell more.

Tried the SUPER, and it was perfect...simple converter...free...and the output was good quality. After about 2 months of looking for something like this, you've found it. Tried trials of expensive software and this is better than those...three thumbs up!

THANK YOU
