I realize you're on a budget but don't pigeon hole yourself. If the requirements make it more so, then get what it takes. I offer that because "special needs" never are cheap or less side of a purchase. You certainly don't want it too small for viewing and overall you want a good display, thus just about any new laptop will fill the need. if using the touchpad is troublesome, then add a small mouse to do this task via the USB port. You *MAY NOT* want a touch screen arrangement because any erratic hand movement will be too easily astray. Check you local or regional website, etc. of any handicap services that may offer which is being promoted better to use. Here in the States, we have the "Lighthouse for the Blind", etc. by google away for such services. Also, you can add via the OS, enable handicap or such services that maybe required, as in larger type/display output, etc., these aren't normally active until you request that service be enabled.

I am looking for 2 hybrid laptop/touchpad pcs for my elderly relatives. I have taken them to a shop to view some models and they dont want any screen size less than 11.6 screens. They also want to be able to use the laptop like a pc but also want to use it as a good e reader. However, they only have £300.00 each to spend. Can anyone recommend this type of machine with the above specs. I've been looking at the Lenovo Yoga 2. Is it a good idea to get this one above the rivals?
