All I can share is the chipmunk or slowdown was noted with some homebrew machines, some HP and a few others. The cure remains to update the motherboard chipset drivers IF it's that usual issue.
If the MP3 does the same on all machines you can find, unless you are very unlucky the fault is in the MP3.
I've been using Musicmatch for a while now to convert old audio cassette tapes into wav files onto my computer to burn later. I connect the tapedeck to my computer and everything sounds fine during recording. However, during playback the sound will at some point slow down. The tape deck is a quality JVC single tape deck, so I don't think it's that. It's frustrating because it doesn't always happen and when it does a 2nd or 3rd attempt corrects this. It's something I've tried to live with, but it's something I would like to correct if possible. Any suggestions?
