convert winamp and CDs to mp3

Apr 17, 2009 4:55AM PDT

I bought a Philips mp3 player, very basic, $40. It only accepts mp3 music. How do I convert CDs and winamp music to mp3?

Winamp isn't music, winamp is a program that can play several types of music files.

Converting a CD to mp3 id called 'ripping'. I'm using these 2 programs to do it: Windows Media Player (comes with Windows) or CDEX (free download). Never needed any other.

Thanks a lot that really helped. Using the Media Player maid it a piece of cake. I was surprised at how easy it was.

Thank You
