Convert HD 500 5.1 to 7.1

Mar 31, 2015 4:44AM PDT

I have a Klipsch HD 500 and a Denon 1913 7.1 Receiver. I am planning to set up my media room for a 7.1 set up and I need to buy 2 extra speakers and not spend a lot on them.

1) Is it necessary to buy klipsch speakers only as HD 500 is now discontinued.

2) If answer to 1) is NO then please suggest which speakers I should buy, as I want to only add 2 speakers and not change the entire set.

3) The 2 new speakers which I get should they by default just be placed at Left back surround and Right back surround or is there a different set up I should do. I thought the default set up is 5.1 on HD 500 so the extra 2 go to the back surrounds.

Thanks
