Question

convert coax to rca or s video for broken tv

Sep 22, 2011 5:01AM PDT

Hi. I have a TV i have had given to me. The problem is the coax port is broken, but the s video and RCA ports do work. What i need to figure out is how to convert the coax signal (from the coax cable) coming into my home to either RCA signal or s video signal so I don't have to take the tv to a expensive repair shop. The closest I have found is a coax female to RCA male, but im pretty sure that will just allow the video signal from the coax, but not the sound signal. Anyone have any idea's ? I've spent alot of time trying to find a convertor, but haven't had any success as of yet. Any help would be appreciated. Thanx

I suggested the wrong tuner because it doesn't have a composite output (yellow, white, red). Sorry.
