Control the power to my electric devices

by topher2041 / May 18, 2009 11:09 PM PDT

I need some help on this.

I am looking for a power strip or electric outlet that I can control with a Harmony Remote. I want a way to kill the vampire power to my stereo and tv's. I want a way so that when I hit the power on my remote it first turns on the outlet and then the devices. Turn the power off on the remote and it kills the power to the outlet or the power strip. There is a company called Trickle Star that was going to make a power strip that was control by z-wave but it has been delayed.

I am not looking for the power strip that has the master control option. I do have the Belkin Conserve in a few places but it will not work in all the places since the remote is not programmable.

Can anybody help me on this? Is there anything out there?

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
