Resolved Question

Continuously Play Audio File?

Nov 7, 2011 10:20AM PST

I have an old Pioneer receiver (sx-2300). I would like to connect a sound source that will continuously play an mp3 file. The file is creek and nature sounds and would provide some mellow background in a busy neighborhood. What equipment (iPod, CD player ...) should I connect to my receiver to make this happen? Thanks, Bill

Maybe something like this?

It is an expensive way of doing it. Personally, I would fill up a dvd with mp3 and play that in a dvd player. That should last a long time for each dvd. Just my thought on this.

What device do you already have?

Either a CD or DVD player will work, or an iPod will work. Do you already have one of these devices? If so, use what you have. All three can be set to repeat. When you burn a CD, you should have an option to choose "Play songs with no gap" so it sounds continuous. Your iPod can be set to do the same.
