Resolved Question

Contacts transfer

May 31, 2014 5:43AM PDT

In addition to an older 7 Samsung tablet, I have a new 10.1 Note 2014 edition one as well as two Samsung Montage phones.

I had no trouble transferring all contacts from one phone to another using Bluetooth. I was even able to transfer them to my laptop, again using Bluetooth.

However, when I attempted to transfer them to the Note tablet, everything appeared to go OK, but when I checked I found that the names, and email addresses went OK, but only one phone number per contact was transferred.

Report the bug to Samsung and if they don't fix

It's a sign. Either return or use other contact managers.

Thanks for response, Proffitt,

I had actually reported the problem to Samsung as well, but your response came back uch faster.

I ended up using a different method which was a tw-step process, but not the one suggested by Samsung. They responded that a device to device transfer may not get the correct data, and said to use Kies instead.

What I ended up doing was first, edit the contacts that had been transferred via Bluetooth to the first tablet to fix the few problems I had found. Then I exported them to an SD card, and checked the VCF file on it on my PC to make sure everything was there that should be. Finally, I imported from that SD card to the second tablet.
