Constantly "thrown off" Facebook

Feb 7, 2010 4:48AM PST

I have Windows Vista and am very happy with it so far. This is not a major issue but I'm curious as to why I am always being thrown off of Facebook. It will happen at various times when I click on something within Facebook, whether it be "Find Friends" or "Friends List" or if I click on someone's profile. Then I have to get back into Facebook and start over.

Specifically, what exactly happens when you are "thrown off" Facebook? (Does the browser close? Are you redirected to another website? Do you have to log back in?) Also, note the web browser you are using (Internet Explorer, Firefox, etc), as well as its version.

Let us know.
John

Thrown off Facebook

Thank you for your reply. Yes the browser would close and a page would come up with different options. I would choose the one that said "return to Facebook" (or something similar to that), and it would take me right back to the page I was on when I was thrown off.

However, I just logged in about a half hour ago and evidently in the last couple of days, Facebook has done some updating. So far, I have not been thrown off. We'll see how long that lasts. Thanks again.

Thrown off Facebook

I knew it was too good to be true. I got thrown off Facebook again yesterday. It was operating just fine for quite a while before it happened. To answer your previous question about which browser I use, it is IE-8. Also, this has been happening ever since I became a member of Facebook, which has been over a year. Any suggestions?

The problem could be on Facebook's end as they are in the process of updating the sites interface.

Has this always been a problem or is this a recent issue?
