The other day there was an update for NAV (not the signature but an actual update where rebooting was necessary). Ever since this update, I've constantly had Norton pop-ups when starting MSN Messenger. The pop-ups come about 4 times in a row and state that 'A remote system is attempting to access Microsoft MSN Messenger on your computer'. When I click on details it says that the protocol is UDP (Inbound) so I select 'Automatically configure Internet access' and click OK. This never seems good enough for it. It prompts me to 'Permit Always. Why is it doing this now, when it never did before?
In my Firewall logs it shows:
Rule "Implicit block rule" blocked (e450.voice.microsoft.com(64.4.12.200),1247).
Inbound UDP packet.
Local address,service is (0.0.0.0,1247).
Remote address,service is (e450.voice.microsoft.com(64.4.12.200),7001).
Process name is "C:\Program Files\MSN Messenger\MsnMsgr.Exe".
This e450.voice.microsoft.com has never shown up before so does anyone know what the story is here?
