Console Wars Annoy Me....

Aug 10, 2011 5:08PM PDT

Why in the world must every PS3 fan boy have to say something about the Xbox 360 when they have no idea what it does or is capable of and same goes with Xbox. I have owned an PlayStation up until 360 came out. I liked them both. What I don't get is why there has to be polls, and people vote for theirs just because they own one and not the other. I only own an Xbox, but I'm more neutral than anything. Sure both have pros, and both have cons. Why must it be a war. I would like to go on You tube and look at something about XBOX no PLAYSTATION on it. Comments are flooded with fan boys commenting on things they do not know what they are talking about, both sides.

Don't Start a Battle..

I was just wondering, anyone who reads this, if you are a fan boy and are going to flood this with comments about yours and you only one the ONE console, leave now. If you are going to talk like civilized people and either own both, or just here for a friendly conversation trying to understand it, then ok, stay.

It's the same reason

It's the same reason some people have to have a really loud motorcycle, a pickup truck that's jacked up to like 10ft off the ground, or some really fast sports car: Insecurity.

The psychology of this gets a bit deeper than I can say without being heavily censored by the forum software... But let's just say this is the way the socially inept overcompensate for the insecurity they feel about the size of their manhood.

That is a vast vast oversimplification of the issue, but I don't have the time, and most people wouldn't want to read it even if I did. I will say that if you have a broader curiosity about people's behaviors, you should consider studying some psychology and sociology. Just don't make the mistake of majoring in them in college, because sadly there's really just no job market for people with those degrees, even if we weren't in a sputtering economy.
