Considering a new phone

Dec 2, 2004 8:23AM PST

I have a Motorola 60i and love it, other than buying an attenna or two, it works flawlessly. I am considering getting a new phone, but am not sure what to get. The only reasons I am considering this is because I would like to take advantage of some of the new services that Cingular has that I cannot get with my current service - ATT

I need a flip phone that is sturdy - it is in my pocket all day. I like the flip phone because it is small to fit in my pocket, while being large enough to actually talk on. Service will be with Cingluar.

Don't need a camera or IM or email.

I do a few text messages, but not many, so typing is not a high priority.

I would not use it to surf the internet, but would like to be able to sync several web pages like I used to do with a Palm I had.

It would be nice to download a game or two, and maybe a ringtone too...but I can live without it.

Needs to have a vibrate feature - for when I'm in a meeting.

I really like being able to see who is calling without opening the phone.

Sound quality is a top priority as is reliability. My current phone has almost no dropped calls. I can also get a signal where others can't. Part of that is the service, but part of it is also the phone.

Talk time is important.

My current phone I can sit on the charger whenever I'm at home and have had no problems with it harming the battery. I like that.

I do want to keep all my appointments and contacts in my phone, so sync-ing with Outlook is another key feature.

Changable covers would be nice, but again, not required.

Given my needs, what phone would you suggest? Why is that phone the one that I want?
