I see what you're trying to do, and without getting into all the nitty gritty details, I'll tell you that Connectshare will not do what you'd want; it's meant for media stored on a mass storage device. I will say that the most straightforward option for you would be to use Netflix on your PS3, connected via HDMI.
I am getting this TV (60") and I had a question on the connectshare feature. We have a netflix account, but seldom watch it, I use my PS3 today and didn't want to spend the extra bucks for built in wifi. The connectshare sounds interesting, but what is it really compared to hooking my PS3 up via HDMI? The description stated: "Samsung's Connect Share allows you to access some of the most important premium (paid for) movie services available such as Netflix, Amazon Video-On-Demand, Hulu, VuDu and more. For most people, this is enough without being able to access the full array of Apps Samsung has for 2012."4
I cannot find much info on it, how to use it, the online manual is slim at best. How do you watch netflix via a USB port? I take it I cannot plug in a usb wifi adaptor, is it just a place to plug in a roku type box? Any advantages over the PS3 via HDMI?
