Connection problems with videos on AOL

I have a cable broadband connection and AOL. I use a Compaq 6350 computer with Windows XP Home Edition, SP2. I have a Linksys router and wireless adaptor connected via USB port.I have no problem accessing and using the internet and AOL, with one exception. When I go to their video site and try to play a video I get a black screen. Not only does the video not load but I lose my internet connection and have to reset the modem-router connection. When online I have the same problem when trying to play videos on Windows Media Player, but not on Real Player. I reinstalled Windows Media Player, but that did not solve the problem. My daughter has an AOL-cable connection, but has no problem playing videos. How can I correct this problem?

I have the same problem on Comcast

Ihave cable braodband with Comcast, Linksys wireless router, using XP. Everytime I try to listen to a music sample on Amazon or similar, I lose my internet connection and have to reset the router and modem.
I've had this broadband connecton for 4 years and this did did not start happening until I installed LinkStys
