My AVR,harmon kadron have RCA , hdmi, coaxial and optical input and output model-avr146
My Set topbox , coship hd digital, have RCA, hdmi and digital optical (toslink) output. ( at present hdmi connected to tv and optical connected to avr input)

connection of TV with AVR and set top box

Hi

Thanks very much for your detailed Owners manual.
I bought this TV from middle east and I have an owners manual with 40 pages which does not show anything about various connections, for that , it says to refer cd rom. No issue.I understood the connections from your manual. The manual which you sent shows, page no. 13, digital audio out (optical) and there are 3 hdmi/dvi in.
My owners manual and tv shows : 2 hdmi in and 1hdmi/dvi in
secondl, instead of digital audio out-optical- it shows : AV OUT : variable audio out.( 2 jacks like RCA cable).(manual explains: connect an external amplifier or add a sub woofer to your surround sound system)
Rest all are same.
now my question is : what kind of cable is used to connect variable audio out ? RCA? I think it is analog -if it is, is there any option to convert this' variable audio out' to digital optical-to get a digital s.sound?
Your reply will solve my issue

Thanks n rgds

Amazon sells rca (analog) to digital optical converters. Trial and error until you find one that works.
