Some of these have your home phone on the same system so you have to use your mobile phone to have them fix their gear and issues.
ISP gear can be customized so what I see for documentation does not apply.
I am with My Republic in Australia, about 2 week ago there was an outage in our area, I could not connect to the internet either via cable or wifi until I reset the modem all good I thought, I noticed signal strength was week so I went into settings to change my wifi channel, pressed enter and then lost connection as in I had no Internet available either via Phone or computer, although the modem had full green lights on, So I went and reset modem again, all good again but it dropped out once again after attempting to change settings either passwords or channel, I thought the modem was faulty so I changed my Modem from original My Republic supplied unit to a D Link DSL 4230L I turned it on and went through all the wizard setting instructions as req, again all good everything up and running until I go into settings to change passwords or wifi signal channel, it goes through its countdown of resetting password gets to 0 sec then once again I lose all connection, again all modem lights remain full green, I have checked wifi signal strength on my phone with wifi analyzer app and there is a strong but no connection via wifi on my phone or laptop, again reset modem then go through set up and bingo everything works again, but I have a password preset by my modem and channel for my wifi set via auto settings??? what am I missing here? what can I do to solve this issue? is it a nbn cable issue that has occured after the outage, is that possible?
